Launched in 1910 it earned the nickname ‘Bianchissimo’ because of the white flowers of the vanilla plant at the heart of its recipe. It’s a secret blend of herbs flowers and vegetables predominantly from the Alps combined with charcoal-filtered white wines including Trebbiano. Lightly sweetened and fortified with spirit Martini Bianco is a delicate style of vermouth that gently elevates the other spirits in your cocktail allowing them to shine to their fullest.
Simple and floral Martini Bianco is medium dry and plays particularly nicely with Tequila in our opinion. However it can also be used to make a Martini a Tuxedo or a Negroni Bianco (your new summer favourite). Alternatively simply mix it with tonic at a ratio of 50:50 over lots of ice. Then garnish with a slice of lime and invite your friends over for an aperitivo.
As Martini’s advertising has espoused for many decades this is about beautiful people on the decks of yachts bobbing on the glittering Mediterranean or people-watching from the corner cafés on the harbours of the Riviera.
