This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot is hugely dense pumped full of hedgerow brambles mint blackcurrants black plums olive rose petals liqueur chocolates and cherry pie with whipped vanilla cream. First made in 1980 this 2014 vintage in magnum format demonstrates how Rubicon just seems to get better and better with each passing year.
