KUROBUTA at Harvey Nichols
Indulge with ex-Nobu chef Scott Hallsworth's exceptional Japanese tapas
Based on the izakaya inns of Japan, Kurobuta is now open at the Fifth Floor, Harvey Nichols.
The creation of Scott Hallsworth, formerly head chef at Nobu, Kurobuta’s distinctive Japanese-style tapas are full of traditional ingredients that have been given a distinctive contemporary twist. These are the kind of flavours that don’t gently tease the tongue; no, in Scott’s own words, these are the kind of flavours that smack you in the face.
The innovative, delicious dishes showcase Scott’s flair and creativity – enjoy signature Kurobuta creations such as the popular tuna sashimi pizza with truffle ponzu, red onions, and green chillis on a crispy base; or the BBQ pork belly in steamed buns with spicy peanut soy; and of course sushi dishes such as soft-shell crab maki with kimchee mayo – alongside exclusive, available only at Harvey Nichols, new concepts including Miso Yaki jumbo shrimp with BBQ cabbage and tamari-ginger butter sauce.
Scott’s brand new menu is ready to unleash on the shoppers of Knightsbridge. Having spent time getting experimental with timings and new pan-Asian flavours, Scott’s taste bud tantalising new dishes are set to reinvent Japanese cuisine in London.
This is really good, rule-breaking food that doesn’t whisper “eat me” gently, but shouts it loudly and proudly from the Knightsbridge rooftops.
With a makeover of the old space, Kurobuta at Harvey Nichols boasts a laid-back vibe promising good times, good fun and great food.
