1. OLD + RARE
Whisky (whiskey for Irish and American styles) goes through many processes to become the flavoursome spirit we all love a bit too much.SHOP OLD + RARE WHISKEY
Whisk(e)y is aged in the barrel, not the bottle. So, if your drink is 22 years-old, it’s been aged to perfection in casks during that time and the longer the aging process, the more flavour, texture and depth there is to your chosen tipple.
Suntory is the biggest distiller in Japan, known for its single malts Yamazaki and Hakushu, and the blended Hibiki. Yamazaki was the first commercial distillery, celebrated for its extremely smooth 18 year-old single malt.SHOP JAPANESE WHISKY
Mount Kaikoma is home to the Hakushu distillery, where low pressure and pure water develops exceptional flavours. The Distiller's Reserve bottle displays this best, combining a range of malts to show off the complex flavours.
There are a wealth of whiskey varieties in the U.S.A. Bourbon whiskey originates from Kentucky and matures in white oak barrels, where high levels of natural oils develop vanilla and caramel notes.SHOP AMERICAN WHISKEY
Tennessee whiskey is quite similar but is only produced in, you guessed it, Tennessee. These whiskeys go through a charcoal filtration which creates the sweet, maple flavours that make Jack Daniel's such a favourite.
4. NEW + NICHE BRANDS
While Jack Daniel's will forever be in our hearts, other incredible whiskeys also deserve their due. Garrison Brothers were the first legal Texan distillery, handcrafting one batch at a time to perfect the whiskey's buttery texture.SHOP NEW + NICHE BRANDS
Monkey Shoulder made the first ‘triple’ malt utilising Scottish distilleries. The individual malts are separately matured in repurposed bourbon whisky casks, then blended together in a final barrel to create a deliciously unique flavour.
