Their LBV is a wine that winemaker Dirk Niepoort refers to as "the little brother" to the estate's extremely limited and highly coveted vintage port delivering a similar style of wine but available to drink at a much earlier stage. The 2009 is a stellar example that is drinking beautifully now possessing a huge amount of complexity and flavours that suggest leather liquorice tar prunes and cassis. Recently awarded 18.5/20 by Decanter magazine this is without doubt one of the best LBV's on the market.
