Nestled on the hillsides of Bologna San Vito vineyard has been making quality wines for 50 years. A real change arrived in 2005 however when a young couple of winemakers set up to revitalise the wine scene in the area. They converted the estate to a biodynamic system following a minimum intervention philosophy both in the vineyard and the winery. The resulting wines are bright with a real drinkability and a great sense of place.
Vigna del Grotto is sourced from a small vineyard on sandy alluvial soils which gives the Pignoletto great elegance and perfume. White flowers melon peaches and a salty edge are the most notable aromas. A young fresh and easy drinking wine that will complement a wide range of pasta dishes roast chicken and hard chesses.
