Barrel-aged for decades and decades at Ramos Pinto’s cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia this remains so youthful for its age. Notes of vanilla cinnamon cocoa praline roasted nuts treacle caramel dark chocolate-covered coffee beans and a medley of dried fruit make this a wonderful partner to a post-prandial coffee and cigar or could be served alongside a slice of fruitcake a stinky cheeseboard Black Forest gateau crème brûlée or a cheeky Caffarel Gianduia.
