Sign up to the June 4th beach clean
Did you know that 80% of ocean plastics come from inland rivers and canals? We’ve teamed up with Thames21 to continue our efforts to remove plastics at our closest waterway the Thames. We are also taking a record of what we find to help Thames21, and the Port of London Authority convince more businesses and organisations to make the change from single-use plastics.
Join us for a litter clean-up at the Thames foreshore lovingly called OXO beach on the 4th of June 2021 2pm till 4:30pm. We’d say there is no better way to celebrate the upcoming World Environment Day.
The event is limited to 14 people so if you like to join email email@example.com today to ensure you can join. Further details will be emailed a day before the event.
We will provide litter pickers, gloves, bags and recording sheets, but we need you to dress for the occasion:
- Sturdy and watertight shoes – best wellies
- Dress according to weather – rainproof if the forecast indicates rain, sun protection and hats if the weather is glorious
- Water bottle
See you then!
