Too Good To Go Pop-up exhibition from Monday 21st of June
We’re very pleased to announce that from Monday the 21st of June we will be hosting a pop-up exhibition in collaboration with Too Go To Go, showcasing 14 exclusive prints designed to raise awareness around the topic of food waste and how it’s impacting our environment.
This is not the first time OXO has partnered with Too Good To Go as we formally used their service to help reduce our own food waste, ensuring every afternoon tea finger sandwich, and sweet treat found a good home.
The series of limited-edition prints have been designed by 14 of Europe’s most exciting rising artists and are available to purchase at www.toogoodtogo.co.uk/posters for £11 each. 100% of the profits are being donated to the UN World Food Programme – the world’s largest organisation addressing hunger and food insecurity.
This project has been launched in response to the fact that globally, food waste causes more greenhouse gas emissions than the aviation industry, and that the majority of this food waste is happening right at home (in the UK specifically, 70% of all food waste takes place within households – source). Each of these 14 exclusive illustrations is designed to artistically highlight the connection between food waste and our environment in a bid to inspire the food waste fight at home.
And to embody this cause, the posters are printed on Crush paper, made from 15% agro-industrial by-products (crushed food waste) instead of tree cellulose.
The pop-up exhibition can be found in the 8th Floor viewing gallery from the 21st of June until the end of August, just ask your receptionist to lead the way.
