Lucky number seven. There’s something about this number its importance in different cultures spans the seven continents. There are seven days of the week seven colours in the rainbow seven dwarves seven brides for seven brothers and Ian Fleming of course made his character James Bond 007 before this title was passed to Lashana Lynch and about time too. So it was bound to happen that when you taste Seven Crofts Gin you’re immediately going to want seven bottles. Especially when it has been ramped up to a Fisherman’s Strength of 57%. There’s that seven again!
Craft gin fans who were lucky enough to snap up some of the Highland Liquor Company’s Experimental Series have been waiting with bated breath for Seven Crofts. And it was worth the wait seven times over. This beautifully bottled gin takes its name from the seven small dwelling that gave birth the village of Ullapool located on Loch Broom in northwest Scotland. It’s handcrafted from seven botanicals – including juniper pink peppercorns cubeb lemon peel and a secret blend of local ingredients – in a traditional copper alembic still. And this version was bottled at a navy strength.
A powerful twist on the classic Seven Crofts Gin. This spirit bristles with blueberry black pepper pink peppercorn baked apple hedgerow brambles woody coriander plum crumble and a hit of juniper that calls to mind pine forests. Serve with premium tonic and a slice of orange or mix it into a fiery Martini to be served after 7pm.
