With hand-blown walls just 0.9 mm thin, the Shotoku Shiwa Whiskey Old Fashioned Glass lets you feel like you're drinking straight from the liquid. That's finer than standard hand-blown barware, which typically ranges from 1.5 to 3 mm. Shotoku draws the technique from light-bulb glassblowing, a tradition it's kept since 1922.
Product Highlights
- Shiwa crinkled surface refracts light along its ridges as you pour
- Heightened sound of swirling ice adds another sensory note to your drink
- Kiri wood gift box with Japanese calligraphy and artisan seal, ready to give unwrapped
- Not dishwasher safe; hand wash gently to protect the fine walls
- Never add ice to a warm glass; sudden temperature changes can crack it
Best For
- Home-bar tastings of Japanese whisky, served neat or over ice
