Built with uniform 0.9mm walls, the Shotoku Usuhari Beer Glass barely registers on your lips. The walls don't thicken right down to the base, so your beer appears to float.
Product Highlights
- Mouth-blown in Tokyo using light-bulb techniques for consistently thin, even walls
- Made by a glassmaker founded in 1922, continuing a heritage of Japanese glassblowing
- Small air bubbles and slight shape variations show each glass is individually mouth-blown
- Clear glass shows off your drink's true colour
- Set of two glasses, so you're ready to pour a second round
- Paulownia wood box with Japanese calligraphy and an artisan seal for a special unboxing
- Hand wash only with a soft sponge, and don't twist, to protect the thin walls
Best For
- Home tastings of craft beer, sake or whisky where you want every note to come through
- Omakase-style dinners at home that bring a restaurant pour to your table
- Admirers of Japanese design looking for a boxed gift with a story behind it
