Two-Fold gets its name from the duo of barley and grain used to create it. The first part is crafted using malted barley fermented with brewers’ yeast to create an extra fruity character. The second part of the base spirit comes from an aromatic and dry wheat. These two parts are matured separately in oak wine barrels that have held fruity Aussie reds like Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. To make sure the wine character is optimised they only use barrels sourced from within a day’s drive of the distillery. The barrels are filled at a slightly lower ABV so that the spirit will draw out all that red wine fruit from the oak. The two parts are then expertly married together creating a whisky brimming with red berries crème caramel flambéed pineapple buttery caramel custard pine and malted milk biscuits. Dangerously drinkable this will become your go-to for cocktails.
