This outpost of the Lafite Rothschild family turns out outstanding Corbières year in year out. This is a blend of sun-kissed Syrah Grenache Mourvèdre Carignan and Alicante Henri Bouschet and Grenache. The Carignan partially undergoes carbonic maceration which is the same process that gives Beaujolais its freshness and crunch. This creates a fabulously ripe and fruit-driven wine with a sunny disposition. It’s packed with dried herbs flint spices graphite eucalyptus fresh sage blackcurrant blueberry and hints of fruit brandy.
