90 points, “The 2020 Mâcon-Bussières Vignes de Montbrison is lively and charming, mingling aromas of green apple, pastry cream, vanilla pod and warm bread. Medium to full-bodied, layered and fleshy, it's textural and charming, with lively acids and a saline finish.” – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

This Mâcon-Bussières is a wine with depth and seriousness sourced from a small plot of 40-year-old vines close to Pouilly-Fuissé. With very similar clay-limestone soils and old vines, consider this great value white a mini Pouilly-Fuissé.

Guffens-Heynen is the highly respected winery in Sologny started by Maine and Jean-Marie Guffens-Heynen, which makes fabulous Burgundy from grapes that they grow themselves. Domaine Verget is their négociant business that buys grapes from local growers. Established in the Mâconnais, the latter has quickly earned its place amongst the most respected négociants in Burgundy. Verget’s production has expanded over the years and now covers 32 different appellations. The unmistakable quality of its wines is assured through a careful selection of fruit; low yields and optimum ripeness are paramount.
