Nothing screams glamour like a magnum of vintage Prosecco. Expect vibrant green apple Conference pear sorbet acacia honey jasmine and the good times to roll.

In its elegant gift box Villa Marcello’s vegan-friendly Millesimato Brut Prosecco 2020 will be poured at only the most stylish soirées. It’s quite different from many other Proseccos for a few reasons. Firstly the grapes all come from a single vintage so each year it will change subtly depending on the weather during the growing season. Secondly rather than being pure Glera it has 15% Pinot Blanc adding a little more weight and character. And finally it spends an extended four months on the lees resulting in a richer and rounder feel.

Villa Marcello started life as a shooting lodge for the Tiepolo Family. It remained that way for hundreds of years until the first vines were planted by Elisabetta Galvani Onigo in the 19th Century. It has passed down through her descendants until it reached Alessandra Marcello. The wine from their 27 hectares of vines in Treviso is now made by her son Giovanni Mazzei – from the family that gave the world Siepi Castello di Fonterutoli and more.
