The Cellar Master’s Trilogy is a series of rare aged Single Harvey Tawny Ports created by one of Portugal’s finest producers and a Royal Warrant Holder Graham’s.
During World War II the market for Port disappeared. So Ports from the 1940s are almost unheard of. The Master 1940 has spent almost eight decades maturing in oak casks and is quite simply magnificent reflecting elegant ageing that most wine producers can only dream of. Sourced primarily from Graham’s flagship vineyard Quinta dos Malvedos it’s phenomenally concentrated with nuances of praline demerara sugar creamy caramel honey tobacco and black tea with a slice of lemon in it. Bottled at around 80 years old this is a once in a lifetime Port.
Established in 1820 Graham’s is one of the most famous names in the Port trade and has long been synonymous with the greatest vintage Ports. The Symington family acquired the company from the Graham family in 1970 so today Graham's remains a wholly family-owned firm. They are not only the world’s leading producer of premium Port but also the biggest vineyard owner in the Douro Valley – a UNESCO World Heritage Site of jaw-dropping beauty.
