Owned by the Goring family since 1743 Wiston Estate was converted into a 16 acres vineyard in 2006 following the vision of Pip Goring. The estate is now run according to a strict philosophy of sustainability with no herbicides sprayed on the soil. The outmost respect for nature and the work of award-winning winemaker Dermot Sugrue ensures no effort is spared in order to produce some of the best English Sparkling Wines available today. The fruit for their non-vintage range is sourced from the family’s vineyards located on the south facing chalk slopes of the South Downs in Sussex as well as partner vineyards also based in the same region.
The Rose NV is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Meunier. The wine represents perfectly the style of the house refreshing and elegant. Vibrant aromas of rhubarb wild strawberries and raspberries accompany a perfectly balanced palate. A lively rose perfect to be paired with poached salmon lightly seared duck or tuna tartare.
