A natural grooming tool to help nourish and protect hair, scalp and beard. Made entirely by hand at our Altesse Studio workshop in France, using 19th century brush-making techniques for handle shaping, drilling and bristle application.

RESPONSIBLE MATERIALS.
Brush handles are crafted from noble olive wood of exceptional beauty from the trunks cut by olive oil producers after the trees are too aged to produce olives. Following the carving of Altesse brush handles at their workshop, the wood shavings are collected and given to local French farmers for use in their orchards, allowing the wood to return to the earth.

CARING FOR YOUR BRUSH.
1. Start by removing impurities from the bristles.
2. Fill a sink with warm water, add a drop of soap and work up a lather.
3. Immerse only the brush bristles in soapy water, using figure-of-eight strokes.
4. Rinse the fibres with clean water and place the brush with bristles face down to air dry.

Use on dry hair. Beginning at the scalp, gently brush in long, even strokes from roots to ends. Allow the boar bristles to distribute the scalp’s natural oils through the lengths of the hair, helping to nourish, protect, and enhance shine. Apply light pressure to massage the scalp and encourage circulation.
For Beard
Use on dry beard. Brush in the direction of hair growth using slow, controlled strokes. The boar bristles help condition the beard by evenly distributing natural oils, while gently massaging the skin beneath to promote comfort and softness.
