We’ve long believed that coconut milk elevates a flat white to a whole new level. Aluna seem to have had a similar epiphany combining their much-loved coconut rum with rich coffee to create a divine new liqueur. Aluna is named after the moon which we guess makes this the rarely seen dark side of the moon.
Aluna have taken their original rum – made from a blend of light and naturally sweet Guatemalan rum more robust rums from the Caribbean all-natural toasted coconut and sustainably sourced coconut water – and blended it with 100% Arabica cold brew coffee cacao nibs and subtle black cardamom. Vegan friendly gluten free and lower in sugar than many of its rivals Aluna Coconut Coffee Liqueur might just be the ultimate after-dinner drink – rich and moreish with a gently smoky finish. Mix it into a decadent Espresso Martini sip it neat in a post-prandial setting (a Moonshot if you will) slip it into hot chocolate combine it with coconut milk and vodka to create a dairy-free White Russian or simply pour it over ice cream to create an Aluna Affogato (we recommend Hackney Gelato Coconut Stracciatella or Coconut Sorbetto).
