The Bowmore x Aston Martin Masters’ Selection 2022 is the second limited-edition release from the series with the collaboration of Bowmore’s Master Whisky Blender, Ron Welsh, and Aston Martin’s Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, Marek Reichman. The series celebrates the creative design, vision and skill of both single malt whiskies and performance sports cars uniting two distinct worlds in a powerful yet inspiring way and driving them on a quest for the most immersive, exhilarating and thrilling moments.
This 22-year-old double matured whisky combines purposely selected European Oak Sherry butts and American Oak Hogsheads with a stylish finish in tawny Port casks in homage to the definitive and constant character of Bowmore. Breathe in the rich and intense aromas of heather honey, vanilla, cherries, lychee, eucalyptus, liquorice, tobacco leaves and aniseed before diving headlong into complementary notes of vanilla fudge, butterscotch, thyme, white pepper, oak, hazelnuts, maple syrup and dates. A full mouthfeel and lingering finish confirm the style, poise and elegance of the whisky which are characteristics replicated in the classic British super cars of Aston Martin – a perfect collaboration, beautifully entwined and experienced.
