The Bowmore x Aston Martin Masters’ Selection Edition 3 is the third release from the series with the collaboration of Bowmore’s Master Whisky Blender, Ron Welsh, and Aston Martin’s Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, Marek Reichman. The series celebrates the creative design, vision and skill of both single malt whiskies and performance sports cars uniting two distinct worlds in a powerful, yet inspiring way and driving them on a quest for the most immersive, exhilarating and thrilling moments.
This 22-year-old double matured whisky combines purposely selected European Oak Oloroso Casks and American Oak Hogsheads to pay homage to the definitive and constant character of Bowmore. Breathe in its rich and sweet depths with notes of lemon peel, poached peaches and vanilla giving way to decadent tones of treacle, salted toffee, antique oak, roasted chestnuts and soft leather. Then dive into its intense complex and rich sherried core with hints of cocoa beans, sundried raisins, Muscovado sugar and red berries all rounded off with a layer of peated smoke leaving a long sweet and lingering finish with oak spices and sea salt.
