Weingut Bründlmayer is one of the Kamptal region of Austria’s superstars. Organic certified from their 2019 vintage, this family-run and environmentally conscious winery in Langenlois tends 90 hectares of vineyards in premium areas.
As the name suggests, this Grüner Veltliner 2020 is a blend sourced from different terraced vineyards in Kamptal. The elevated terraces with stonier soils add aromatics, acidity, crunchy fruit flavours and lots of minerality, while the lower terraces provide body and riper fruit. Combine the two and you get a complex Grüner Veltliner brimming with citrus peel, tangy grapefruit, crisp apple, pear, greengage, peach, hay, green tea, frosty garden herbs, acacia honey and sea salt.
