The Blanc de Blancs 2013 is the 44th release in Champagne Salon’s history and has garnered wide acclaim with critics Antonio Galloni of Vinous, awarding 99 points, and James Suckling granting it 97 points.

This exquisite expression has been created in the chalky hills of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger where the Chardonnay grape thrives. The 2013 vintage possesses a harmonious balance of aromatic white flower perfume, delicate fruit nuances and a high natural acidity. The complex and complementary profile was created through a low and slow growing season in Champagne, with grapes left on the vine until October promoting more concentrated characteristics. A brilliant and impressive Champagne to drink now but also one that will develop dazzlingly if stored for another decade.

This exceptional Champagne house was created by Eugene-Aime Salon in 1905 for his own personal pleasure and it wasn’t until the 1920s that he was to share his creation with the rest of the world. Champagne Salon comes from a single hectare plot called “the Salon Garden” and nineteen other small plots in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger selected by Eugène-Aimé Salon at the beginning of the 20th century. The wines are made only from Chardonnay and aged for an average of 10 years in cellars at the Champagne house. Today, the Champagne house is run by president, Didier Depond, and Michel Fauconnet, the Cellar Mast and Production Manager of the Laurent-Perrier group.
