Don’t be fooled by Lynch-Bages Cinquième Grand Cru Classé status as Jancis Robinson notes: “If any Château’s positioning in the… 1855 classification highlights just quite how outdated it is then Lynch-Bages… would be the one. Rated a 5th growth in 1855 it is has been for the last few decades a definite Super Second.”
Magnificent on release this is a wine to crack straight into. Revel in its aromatic cassis black cherry leafy brambles graphite sandalwood dried flowers polished cedar and a pinch of sea salt. Echo de Lynch-Bages is made with the same care as the Grand Vin and this silky intense and wonderfully pure wine is not to be missed.
