Awarded 92 points by both Decanter Magazine and American critic James Suckling the majority of Château Poujeaux 2016 was snapped up during En Primeur. However we did manage to secure just a few cases…

The value for money offered by Château Poujeaux always impresses. The wine is made with a little help from the highly respected Stéphane Derenoncourt – a self-taught vigneron of exceptional talent. Displaying notes of Chambord blackberries dark cherry liquorice smoky bacon tobacco and roasted walnuts “this is a superb vintage for Poujeaux” according to expert Antonio Galloni of Vinous. And we couldn’t agree more.

With a history dating back to the 16th Century Château Poujeaux has been under the same ownership as Latour Beychevelle and Clos Fourtet at one time or another. As you can see this is a Bordeaux that belongs in the most illustrious of company. And under the stewardship of Mathieu Cuvelier this Moulis-en-Médoc estate is going from strength to strength.
