Often overlooked because of its famous neighbours, this Saint-Estèphe performed wonderfully in the outstanding 2015 vintage. Ripe, oaky, sweetly spiced and packed with dark fruits – blueberries, blackberries and blackcurrants – this has minty eucalyptus and vanilla notes that will appeal to Rhône and Australia fans as well as Bordeaux drinkers. All of which makes it a real crowd pleaser. A go-to for lamb dishes and game.
