Clynelish's The Jazz Crescendo 10 Year Old Special Release has been matured exclusively in ex-bourbon American oak casks for a full decade. With white pepper, milk chocolate and little nuttiness on the palate, this bold single malt unveils alluring dulcet tones that reach a crescendo of vanilla spice and smooth caramel for a long and satisfying finish.
The large distillery in the Northern Highlands that we know today as Clynelish was built in the late 1960s. But the now-silent original Clynelish distillery – which came to be known as Brora – was established back in 1819. This is therefore a whisky maker with a long and dramatic history. The weighty, slightly peaty and deeply coastal whiskies produced at Clynelish are much valued by blenders and connoisseurs for their incredible complexity.
