Combining science artistry and an abundance of holiday sunset vibes 06 Vodka Rosé channels the spirit of an evening on the Côte d’Azur. It was crafted using organic Provence rosé from Château Vert and a technique that Comte de Grasse calls ‘Active Wine Extraction’ or AWX for short. This low-temperature and low-pressure method captures the aromatic flavour components and colour pigments derived from the grape skins without the requirement for any additives or artificial flavourings. The result is an iconic vodka that’s as summery elegant and refreshing as a Provençal breeze bringing delicate wafts of strawberry sorbet white blossom and crunchy peaches. We recommend serving this as a bone-dry Martini in a frozen coupe as the sun goes down.
Comte de Grasse – the distillery that also brought us the incredible 44°N Gin – was born out of a desire to produce sustainable luxury spirits. Located in Grasse on the French Riviera they cannot help but be inspired – as the bottle shape and the incredible aromatics allude to – by the rich heritage of the world’s capital of perfume. Surrounded by Provençal herbs growing wild and crisp breezes off the turquoise sea they found an old perfumery laying empty and set to work. What they created is more a laboratory than a distillery using cutting-edge science such as “CO? Supercritical Extraction” “Ultrasonic Maceration” and “Cold Vacuum Distillation” that are as baffling as they sound Comte de Grasse manages to capture the delicate perfume of Provence with each new expression.
