Dodd's Gin is a ground breaking release from the Battersea-based London Distillery Company and sets a new benchmark for UK craft gin. It's named after Ralph Dodd who back in 1807 had planned to build a distillery in London for the creation of British spirits. Ralph's dream sadly crumbled however much like a number of bridges and tunnels he designed. Produced in miniscule quantities via an extremely small batch process Dodd’s is a must-have for any serious Gin lover. The gin itself is made exclusively with organic botanicals including juniper angelica fresh lime peel cardamom red raspberry leaf bay laurel and honey from The London Honey Company. The lion's share of the organic botanicals are distilled in 'Christina' a traditional 140-litre copper alembic but the more delicate botanicals are reserved for a state-of-the-art cold vacuum still 'Little Albion'. The two spirits are then married for several weeks in a revolutionary process before being bottled and labelled by hand. Dodd’s is opulent and intense in style with immense flavour texture and individuality. Delicious to drink neat on the rocks or as the base for numerous cocktail creations.
