This stunning release from the legendary Speyside distillery Glenfarclas is a 53-year-old Scotch aged for more than half a century in a single first-fill Oloroso Sherry cask. The precious liquid was carefully drawn at cask strength into a bespoke decanter created by Glencairn Crystal. There’s no label to allow that mahogany liquid to shine with the brilliance of an autumn conker. This single cask only yielded 168 of these spectacular bottles making it one of the rarest whiskies we’ve ever had the privilege to offer.
Expect a rich whisky with immense Sherry influence a gentle wisp of smoke and the sensation of toffee freshly brewed coffee cigar treacle tart dried fruit sweet malt Å›liwka naleczowska (those delicious Polish chocolate-coated candied prunes) and liquid Christmas cake. Sherried Scotch doesn’t come more luxurious than this.
