The Glenrothes 15 year is matured in European oak sherry seasoned casks, which results in a refined and fragrant whisky. Expect notes of dark brown sugar and sweet baking spices, baked apples, hazelnut praline, dark chocolate, crystalised ginger and orange marmalade.
The Glenrothes has been quietly creating some of Scotland’s most underrated malt whisky since 1879. This traditional Speyside distillery in Rothes still makes whisky the same way it did when it first opened. Famed for its use of Sherry-seasoned oak from Jerez in Spain, the whiskies are as pleasing and rounded as the signature bottles.
