The charming Harvey Nichols Etna Rosso originates from the vineyards that cover the slopes of Mount Etna on the beautiful island of Sicily. This active volcano is the dominant feature of the region represented by the volcanic storm cloud that decorates our label.
Produced at the Murgo winery this vibrant red wine is made from the indigenous grape variety Nerello Mascalese Sicily’s answer to Pinot Noir. The vineyards nestle high above sea level where the vines benefit from the fresh sea breeze cooler ripening conditions and volcanic soils that are rich in minerals.
The distinctive terroir of the Etna region is key in creating the unmistakable and individual character of this red wine combining intense minerality and ripe gentle tannins. Following vinification the wine matures in stainless steel tanks for 18 months to create a complex and vibrant medium bodied red.
Bright ruby in colour this food friendly wine displays enticing sweet spice aromas with hints of cherry and red berries.
