The Manhattan is a cocktail dating back to the 1880s, and maybe even before that. Probably originally made with rye whiskey (as this was favoured in New York at the time), it’s now more commonly created using Bourbon. There are countless variations on this classic, but none to rival ours.
The Harvey Nichols Manhattan Cocktail is created using Four Roses Bourbon. This exceptionally smooth whiskey is combined with Martini Rosso Vermouth and a few dashes of Angostura and Orange Bitters, all of which are patiently stirred together by hand in small batches.
Contains a single serving. Chill it right down and pour it into a coupe, Martini or Nick & Nora glass. Alternatively, if you’ve kept it at room temperature, don’t panic, simply serve it ‘short’ in a rocks glass over plenty of ice cubes. Feel free to garnish with a twist of orange peel or a maraschino cherry. Fuss-free cocktail perfection.
