Highland Park have unveiled their latest expression in the Single Cask Series: the 18 Year Old London Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Only 642 bottles of this limited batch release have been made and these are bound to be snapped up by collectors, so don’t delay!
Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, hand selected refill sherry-seasoned European oak casks for its marriage of diverse and harmonious flavours that represent the varied landscape of London. The whisky brings forth some surprising and delightful flavour notes including vanilla sponge cake, fresh melon and orchard fruits which sit alongside its signature earthy oak as well as cedar, nutmeg, aniseed and gentle peat notes resulting in a long, lingering, sweetly spiced wood finish.
Based in Kirkwall this legendary Orcadian is Scotland’s most northerly distillery and one of only a handful to still employ traditional malting floor. Orkney’s windswept climate – one that has swept all the trees off the island – creates a truly unique place to age whisky.
