The name ‘Kah’ means ‘life’ in the ancient Mayan language and contrary to what the scary skull bottles might suggest these Tequilas are full of life.

Kah Day of the Dead Blanco Tequila is an intense spirit with notes of cooked agave garden herbs almond pesto sweet citrus and fiery pepper. It’s silky and delicate leaving a sachet of spices on the palate. Kah’s skull-shaped bottles are obviously inspired by the traditional sugar skulls called calaveras used during Dia de los Muertos to celebrate life and remember the dead. But each expression crosses borders to explore traditions in other countries in Central and South America…

The Kah Blanco Tequila bottle is designed with white and black motifs to represent the practices of Bolivians some of whom keep the skulls of loved ones and bring them out each year on the 8th of November taking them to the cemetery and feeding them their favourite foods and in some cases even cigarettes and spirits. Keeping and entertaining the skulls of their deceased is seen as a way for the dead to be immortalised but also protect the living by warding off evil spirits.
