94 points “This is a rich well-balanced and very young brut rosé. It is ripe while keeping an almost austere texture and acidity that will soften and broaden out as it ages.” – Wine Enthusiast

And that’s exactly what this incredible magnum of Louis Roederer’s 2011 Rosé is doing. A mature Champagne that’s coming perfectly into its drinking window now this is a rare treat that’s not to be missed. Fresh and pure with notes of strawberry sorbet baked white peach blossom smoked sea salt pink grapefruit biscotti roasted hazelnuts toast and a touch of chalk from the Chouilly Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir comes from Cumières which is steeply sloped and one of the earliest Champagne crus to ripen resulting in great depth and a very wine-like quality. One-quarter fermented in oak aged for around seven years in the bottle and a further six months after disgorgement this is everything you would expect from one of the greatest Champagne houses. Consider pairing with salmon pink lamb canapés beetroot risotto lighter Japanese dishes and strawberry desserts.

Founded in 1776 and famed for being the producers of Cristal Louis Roederer is one of the last major Champagne houses to still be independently family-run.
