The second release in the Time Collection commemorates the Paris World Fair in 1900 where Paul-Émile Rémy Martin first presented LOUIS XIII to the public. 50 million people and 83 000 exhibitors flocked to the French capital to celebrate industrial technological architectural and artistic innovation. To mark that world-changing event and the brand’s illustrious history a limited-edition LOUIS XIII has been created in collaboration with the Monnaie de Paris (the world’s oldest coinage institution) and the Compagnie des Cristalleries de Saint Louis (the oldest glass manufacturer in France).
The decanter is based on a flask found on the battlefield of Jarnac in 1569 and the box was inspired by the craftsmanship on show and the medals awarded at the Paris World Fair. Each bottle includes an access to the LOUIS XIII Society a private club offering exclusive content experiences and personal services. Once you have registered your bottle with the LOUIS XIII Society a specially commissioned medal minted by the Monnaie de Paris will be despatched to you. This really is the gift that keeps on giving.
