Launched in 2020 Winewings is a striking new collection from Georg Riedel. Using his 47 years of experience combined with that of the nine generations that preceded him Georg Riedel has created his magnum opus. A bold shift in aesthetics for the brand these glasses emphasise the minerality of the wine rather than the fruit. This allows the depth and complexity to shine creating the “ultimate wine geek” experience. The flat-bottomed shape mirrors that of an aircraft wing and increases the surface area allowing greater exposure to oxygen and more intense aromas. The curved walls capture the layered aromas and gently guide them towards your nostrils in a manner optimised for each grape variety. Now Riedel has created a stemless version allowing you to experience the unique curvature of Winewings but without the stem. They are also slightly smaller making them easier to grip clean and store.
