Representing the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit Seedlip was launched by creator Ben Branson. Inspired by The Art of Distillation – a book written in 1651 on distilled non-alcoholic remedies – Ben replicated the processes using small copper stills.
On a mission to solve the what-to-drink-when-you’re-not-drinking-alcohol dilemma Seedlip simulates the experience of drinking alcohol via a complex botanical flavour profile that marries astoundingly well with tonic water.
The third drink from the brand Seedlip Grove 42 is a zest and citrusy blend of copper-pot distillates including orange blood orange mandarin lemon ginger and lemongrass. It’s crafted in a similar manner to a gin just without the alcohol – and no added sugar or sweeteners. Seedlip Grove 42 can be served over ice in a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio with a range of mixers and its peppery citrus fruit works particularly well with straight tonic and a twist of orange peel.
