Tayer + Elementary believe that all negronis should be made with tequila and/or mezcal, and this may be the cocktail to convince you too. This has the classic bittersweet notes of a negroni, but with a smokey base note and earthy, woody, and cigar box aromas.
The Cedarwood Old Fashioned - Made with Makers Mark Bourbon, Tayer Aged Aquavit, bitters and cedarwood. Cedarwood is possibly the most important note in perfumery and in cocktails it can add real depth. In an old fashioned, it adds rich wood aromas and extra layers of spice, with the aquavit adding a dash of caraway and fennel to the mix.
The Bergamot Margarita - made with tequila, mezcal, fino sherry, Cocchi Americano and Bergamot. We all know that citrus goes with tequila, so Bergamot is an amazing variation. Expect a classic margarita with complexity added, with a dash of smoke, floral notes emphasized by the bergamot and Cocchi as well as a dry savoury note from the sherry.
