The Ornellaia Collezione Trio is a prestigious collection of wines from the renowned wine estate in the Bolgheri region of Tuscany, Italy and includes the 2013, 2015 and 2016 vintages.
Winemakers notes from estate director Axel Heinz in 2015 state that the 2013 vintage had a “slow yet full ripening” which “bestowed a fascinating aromatic quality on Ornellaia 2013. The complex vibrant fruitiness is framed by a taut and dense body with tannins that achieve rare equilibrium.” This is an elegant and complex wine which offers aromas of red fruits, spices and balsamic notes. It is well balanced with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a long persistent finish.
