Created by taking The Lakes Distillery’s phenomenal The One – a blend of their very own Single Malt and carefully selected grain and malt whiskies from the Scottish Highlands Speyside and Islay – and finishing it in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez (PX) casks each one lovingly handpicked by their incredibly talented whisky maker Dhavall Gandhi. The Lakes create wonderful Sherry-led whisky but this ratchets it up a notch further displaying notes of sticky Medjool dates raisin-packed fruitcake dark chocolate-covered Brazil nuts polished antique oak and leather furniture smoky fireplaces Christmas and all that beautiful PX influence. This magical creation will definitely appeal to Macallan fans looking for a festive dram. Only 4 512 limited-edition bottles were filled and we don’t expect them to hang around for long.
Amidst the tranquil beauty of Cumbria’s rolling greenery dramatic fells and sparkling water resides an old Victorian cattle farm that has been converted into a world-class spirits producer.
