This perfectly balanced Scotch was created by Kirsteen Campbell – who considers oak the “single greatest contributor” to Macallan’s style – and it was matured for three decades in a combination of Sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks the former coming from Ohio Missouri and Kentucky while the latter were sourced from northern Spain and the French Pyrenees. Tucked neatly into a luxurious solid oak presentation box this very special Macallan pours the colour of a golden acorn and has a nose of fresh honeycomb toffee apple and fig tart with vanilla ice cream.
