The Macallan TIME:SPACE Mastery was made to celebrate the 200th anniversary and has been released in incredibly small quantities. It is a celebration of The Macallan's legacy, through the careful selection of an array of oaks, cooperages and casks, bodegas and sherry seasonings.
The whisky masters explored the diversity of the Macllan's cask inventory and selected each of the casks as their peak of maturation, representing both European and American oak, celebrating cooperages, bodegas and sherry seasoning to create an exceptional whisky.
All these factors lead to arich and complex whisky. The nose leads with Medjool dates, sweet baked figs with milk chocolate, honey and tropical fruits. On the palate there are the classic sherry cask notes of dried fruits, with orange marmalade, honeycomb, caramalised ginger and cinnamon. This all finishes with caramalised pineapple and creamy vanilla with a hint of dark chocolate and coffee.
