This limited-edition Bourbon from Woodford Reserve has been finished in X.O. Cognac casks and then filled into a bespoke Baccarat decanter.
The French oak barrels were handpicked by Master Distiller Chris Morris and each one saw three seasons of Cognac before being filled with Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Woodford Reserve is one of our all-time favourite American whiskeys and we just adore how different this is. Yes there’s the classic crème caramel Terry’s Chocolate Orange hot cross bun cherry and apple crumble flavours but those French casks have also layered in notes of toasted oak marmalade coffee-laced tiramisu Christmas cake barbequed marshmallow fig plum leather herbal tea peppercorn and polished antique furniture.
Baccarat’s decanter pays homage to the classic Woodford Reserve bottle and comes engraved with gold and tucked into stylish red box alongside a crystal stopper. Guaranteed to steal the show in any collection.
The Woodford Reserve Distillery is now a National Historic Landmark because in 1812 this was where the making of fine Bourbon first took place. As well as making some of the most desirable Bourbon on the planet Woodford Reserve also keep one eye on conserving natural resources and sustainability. They recycle 98% of their waste material 10% of the property is dedicated to restoring native grassland and they even compost their food scraps.
